Newcastle Farmers’ Market is a monthly farmers’ market based in the Grey Street area of Newcastle. Certified by the National Farmers’ Retail & Markets Association (FARMA), the outdoor event is held around the city’s Grey Market and has strict guidelines about what can and can’t be sold. All stalls are only allowed to sell food that has been produced, grown or raised within 50 miles of the market site, making it a truly environmental affair. Our aim is to offer our customers a wide range of fresh, locally produced foods of a high quality and at a fair price. We support local suppliers by buying ingredients that have been grown within the region wherever possible too. You will usually find somewhere about 40 stalls selling a wide range of meats, vegetables, breads and pies, soups, jams and pickles, cakes and cordials and many other products. All our products are produced within 50 miles of Hexham and you will always find someone on the stall who can tell you about the product they’re selling. As producers of the foods and are passionate about what they do.
